Kuwait Ports

Shuwaikh port

Shuwaikh port is the main commercial port in the State of Kuwait. It is located to the immediate North and East of Kuwait City. Shuwaikh navigation channel is about 8 Kms long. The port has 21berths including 2 container berths. Vessels sailing to and from the port pass through a Navigation Channel dredged inside Kuwait Bay. The channel is about eight Kms long and its depth is maintained at 8.5 M at minimum water tide level. The port can receive vessels of 7.5 M draft at Zero tide and vessels of up to 9.5 M draft at High tide. Custom & Security Control process over the containers are conducted at examination Center.

Shuaiba Port

Shuaiba port is located 54 Kms south of Kuwait City and bounded by the Southern Pier of Ahmadi Port from the North side and by Mina Abdullah from the South side. The port has 20 commercial and container berths, while Oil pier berths operated by KNPC has 4 berths. Shuaiba port works on direct delivery basis. Shuaiba port is located 54 Kms south of Kuwait.Shuaiba container terminal is considered one of the modern and developed container terminals in the Arabian gulf region with an area of 310 thousand square meters and consists of four berths for receiving and handling container and ro-ro ships. 

Kuwait Intl Airport (KIA)

Kuwait International Airport (KIA) is one of the world’s most modern air transportation gateways utilizing a host of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to handle five million passengers yearly. The airport’s cargo terminal, capable of simultaneously accommodating up to seven freighters, is one of the best equipped in the Gulf region. The newly refurbished ATC tower uses primary and secondary surveillance radars to control the safe flow of traffic at the airport and across Kuwaiti airspace as well as monitoring movements up to 250 nautical miles away.
